Thank you to Hosanna, Jamie, and Karen for making this 2nd trip out one that will lead to a third trip in the future. Hosanna was a tremendous help to my 80 year old father when it came to the snorkel on the reef. While he was always comfortable in the water, having that extra bit of help meant a lot. You can always tell when a crew enjoys what they do and they want to make the day one that is safe, and one to remember for the “from always” that might not be as comfortable in the water as they are. The fish, the turtles, the paddle boards, and the flippering around made for an enjoyable afternoon in the warm Hawaii sun. Thank you to the entire crew. When I am on Oahu, I will return.

This is my second time experiencing the Kaneohe Sandbar with the Captain Bruce outfit. The sandbar itself is a wonder to behold. It’s like a crystal clear, shallow, sandy pool in the middle of the ocean. You can float on a tube, try standup paddle board, or just swim and enjoy the beauty. Then you snorkel near the drop off and see a host of tropical fish and amazing sea turtles.

Now for the service. The captain and crew are friendly, well organized, accommodating and really take care of their customers. Jamie, one of the deck hands, recognized me from my first trip! The crew gives instructions in both English and Japanese.

The experience takes about 3 hours. It’s a short boat ride to the sandbar where they anchor. You have about an hour to enjoy the sandbar then an hour to snorkel, then your return ride. They provide the snorkel, life vest, paddle boards and blow up tubes. For food they offer a spam musubi, fruit, snacks and drinks. The crew snorkels with the group to ensure safety and that everyone stays together. There is a bathroom on the boat and bins to keep your belongings dry. You need to bring your own towels and sunscreen. Shoes are not allowed on the boat, I assume for sanitary reasons.

Bring a little cash for a well-deserved tip or you can use Venmo. We had a small underwater point-and-shoot camera that I attached to my life vest so I wouldn’t drop it. I got amazing photos of the fish and turtles. I highly recommend if you can get a hold of one. I will be back again and again. The friends and family we brought on both trips said it was the best part of their vacation. I was born in Hawaii and return every year to be with family and this a must-do for me now.

I had a wonderful time with the crew. It was my first time snorkeling, and I was nervous. I forgot his name, but a guy came to me and was really patient, helping me calm down. I saw turtles and fish. It was just beautiful. I had an amazing time with them and my family. Thank You!!!

We booked this adventure after being recommended it over and over. It was the only thing I actually booked ahead of time so I could guarantee a spot! My kids have never been on a boat and I wasn’t sure how the whole experience would go but they both loved the ride. This was the only time we saw turtles on our trip and the guys on the boat were so great and really wanted to make sure everyone had fun and enjoyed their day. Would definitely do it again!

We had been in Oahu for almost a week when we came for our afternoon Kaneohe Sandbar Snorkeling Tour. It was the first day that was all grey, cloudy and raining non-stop. We still showed up with a smile and ready for fun, because once you're wet in the water, what does it matter if it's raining? Boy were we glad the tour wasn't cancelled. First off the crew is awesome! Great personalities - they welcomed us on board and made us feel comfortable and like we all knew each other for years. We came on as a group of 6 (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 kids aged 8 and 11) and were joined by a few other couples and families. We went snorkeling first and saw turtles, fish, and coral. The turtles came right up between us, it was so serene and almost magical. Then we took the paddle boards out and saw a sting ray and enjoyed the warm rain and the amazing views. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the snacks the crew brought on too. Once we were done in the water, our captain took us out for a tour of the lagoon and we got such an amazing surprise - 4 manta rays swimming just under the surface and fishing for their food. UNBELIEVABLE surprise. Even the crew was shocked and told us this was so rare. Manta rays or not, we highly recommend this tour. It was fun for everyone, all ages. A fantastic experience. THANK YOU!

We had a wonderful afternoon with Captain Z and her crew. They were welcoming and so very kind. I highly recommend this company for your snorkelling adventure. So many fish, sea turtles and fun water activities. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

When we got off the ship, we were told by a lady crew that my family could only have one floating board, you know, there were five people in my family, and we paid for four people. How do we distribute one floating board for five people? After I communicated repeatedly, the lady still refused me, and there were idle floats on board.

We went out with Dawn, Kevin and Captain Robin. They were all so nice and very skilled in what they do. We had a group of 4, only 1 was confident in ocean/water. The other 3 were not confident swimmers at all. Dawn was amazing with my 74 year old mother. Stayed with her the whole time for snorkeling. My mom struggled but Dawn was super cool, helpful and definitely knew what she was doing. Overall, awesome experience and lots of fun. The sandbar was beautiful and I saw lots of fish and turtles while snorkeling.

Had a fabulous time visiting Kanahoe sandbar. Snorkeling was amazing as was swimming up close to turtles. Water activities good fun. Thoroughly recommend
