What to Do in Kaneohe // Staff‑Recommended Spots [Part 2]

Kaneohe / things to do / activities / sightseeing Part 2

These are some of the best things to do in Kaneohe outside Captain Bruce’s Kaneohe Sandbar Tour 🙂

If you ask our crew for recommendations, guaranteed we are going to suggest at least one of these spots!

Sight-seeing

The Byodo-In Temple

The Byodo-In Temple is located at the foot of the Ko’olau Mountains in the Valley of Temples Memorial Park and was built in 1963 as a small scale replica of the 1,000 year old Byodo-In Temple in Uji, Japan, a UN World Heritage Site.

Kualoa Regional Beach Park

Kualoa Regional Beach Park is located at the northern point of Kane ohe Bay, only 20 minutes from He’eia Pier, and a gorgeous place to enjoy your takeaway lunch! With a sprawling lawn and shallow beach, this is a great place to let younger children run and play before making your way back to Honolulu.

Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens

Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens contain over 400 acres of lush green scenery, and features flora and fauna from a wide variety of Pacific island regions.

An iconic Pinterest photography spot, the garden was designed and built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide flood protection for Kane’ohe.
