9-10 August 2025
Marine Corps Base Hawaii – Kaneohe

The Kaneohe Bay Air Show, taking place on Saturday, August 9th and Sunday, August 10th, is a must-see for aviation enthusiasts. The last show was held in August 2022, making this the first event in three years.
Since the air show tours various locations across the U.S., it’s not held in Kaneohe every year—making this a rare and special opportunity to experience it locally.

Front Row Views from the Sandbar

Guests with a U.S. government-issued ID can enjoy the high-powered performances at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii. But the sandbar offers another fantastic viewing option.

Can I see the Air Show on August 9th with a tour?
The show’s start time will likely depend on weather conditions and other factors, but during the last event in 2022, performances ran from early afternoon through about 4 p.m. Guests on Captain Bruce’s second tour (10:45 am-1:30 pm) were able to catch the opening portion of the show.

Every time the air show comes to town, many people head out by boat to enjoy a picnic on the sandbar while taking in the stunning aerial spectacle. Kaneohe Bay, usually calm and serene, transforms into a lively scene with boats and people. Children leap off boats with excitement, while adults savor barbecues. Even as the tide rises, everyone continues to enjoy the event with peace of mind.
Traffic Advisory
Heavy traffic and crowded parking areas are expected on the day of the event. We recommend using Captain Bruce’s shuttle service for a smoother experience.
