Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2024: A Recap

We recently returned from the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, an annual event that never fails to inspire and inform. This year was particularly exciting for our Port Captain, Alan, and Maritime Supervisor, Karen, who attended for the first time.

New Equipment and Upgrades

A highlight of the show was the opportunity to explore the latest Seabob models and connect with representatives from Seabob headquarters. These personal watercrafts are incredibly popular with our guests on our Serendipity and Coppelia day charters.

Additionally, we visited the AquaBana booth and purchased a custom-made floating deck designed to enhance our guests’ safety and experience. To elevate our onboard service, we also acquired spill-proof champagne and wine glasses from the German company, Silwy. These glasses are already in use and have been a hit with both our guests and crew.

Design Inspiration and Operational Insights

As Azimut yacht owners, we were thrilled to attend a special exhibition showcasing the latest Azimut models. The sophisticated interior design and innovative features provided us with valuable inspiration.

We also spent time at the convention center, exploring the latest boat models and learning about the newest technologies and industry trends.

To gain firsthand experience of the Fort Lauderdale boating scene, we enjoyed a sunset gondola tour on the Las Olas waterway. Despite a brief rain shower, the tour was an unforgettable experience, thanks to our knowledgeable captain, Alex. This experience reinforced the importance of weather preparedness and the need to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences, regardless of conditions.

Comparing Hawaii and Florida

On another day, we chartered an Azimut and cruised the Intracoastal Waterway to Hollywood, Florida. The experience of arriving at a restaurant by boat highlighted the unique aspects of the Florida boating lifestyle. By comparing this experience to our Hawaii tours, we were able to gain new perspectives on how to enhance our guests’ experiences and showcase the unique beauty of Hawaii.

Commitment to Excellence

Through these experiences, we are more committed than ever to providing our guests with exceptional experiences. By staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends and continuously improving our operations, we aim to exceed our guests’ expectations.
