Join the Run, Support the Reef
We are pleased to share that the 10th LeaLea Charity Run 5K by HIS will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu.
This meaningful charity event began in 2011 as a way to support recovery efforts following the Great East Japan Earthquake. Since then, it has continued to nurture a sense of connection and mutual support between Japan and Hawaiʻi. This year marks its return after a six-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and all proceeds from participation will be donated to the Waikīkī Aquarium to support research and conservation of coral reefs and marine ecosystems in Hawaiʻi.
The spirit of Mālama Hawai‘i
At the heart of this initiative is the spirit of Mālama Hawai‘i—a deep respect for and commitment to preserving the natural beauty, culture, and people of Hawaiʻi. We at Captain Bruce resonate deeply with this value and are honored to support the event.
If you’ll be in Hawaiʻi this October, we encourage you to consider joining the run and sharing in this inspiring morning filled with aloha.
