At Captain Bruce, our snorkeling experience is designed with beginners in mind. You’ll start in shallow waters and walk to the snorkel point rather than diving in from deep areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ensure your safety and enjoyment, we require all snorkeling participants to be able to swim at least 16 yards (15 meters) while wearing a life jacket without fins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For Non-Swimmers<\/h3>\n\n\n

We do not recommend this activity for guests who cannot swim. However, since the experience begins in shallow water, we invite you to assess your comfort level and decide whether you’d like to participate. Our staff is always happy to speak with you if you have any concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re not a strong swimmer, don’t worry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feel free to let our crew know! Many guests enjoy floating on an inner tube, SUP in the shallow area around the boat. Sip your favorite drink, savor a snack, and relax in beautiful Hawaiian scenery at your own pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Guests Who Need Extra Support<\/h3>\n\n\n

Our crew always prioritizes safety and keeps a close eye on all guests during snorkeling. However, they are unable to offer continuous one-on-one assistance throughout the activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re looking for more personalized support\u2014especially as a first-time snorkeler\u2014we recommend booking a Private Cruise<\/strong><\/a>. A captain will accompany your small group (up to 6 guests) with extra care\u2014ideal for first-time snorkelers who want support and peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My children (ages 9 and 6) have taken swimming lessons for three years. Would they be able to snorkel at the sea turtle spot?<\/h2>\n\n\n

The sea turtle snorkeling area is in a spot where ocean currents can be stronger than around the bort. Guests must be able to swim approximately 16 yards (15 meters) between snorkeling points while wearing a life jacket in order to join this part of the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
